The Mayor attended the opening of the Garden of Memory, a solo exhibition by Ukrainian poet and artist Olesia Miftahova, at Caerphilly Library.
Olesia arrived in Wales as a refugee following the war in Ukraine. While living through the upheaval of displacement she has continued to contribute to Welsh cultural life, helping to organise poetry readings at Cardiff University and Cardiff Cental Library. Garden of Memory is a poetic and visual journey shaped by themes of memory, time and human connection.
