Caerphilly Town Council is an elected tier of local government and its role is to represent the interests of the community and influence other decision makers.

Caerphilly Town Council supports events in the town, is directly responsible for the town centre floral displays, the fireworks at Caerphilly Castle, the annual Christmas lights switch on, and funding the Caerphilly lantern parade. Caerphilly Town Council provides grants to local organisations that demonstrate benefits for residents of the town area.

Caerphilly Town Council is a consultee on all planning applications that are submitted within the Morgan Jones and St Martins Wards.
