New Contact Arrangements for Town Council

2 July, 2021

There is a new telephone number for the Town Council  – 07950 935822

Following the experience gained over the last 15 months during the coronavirus pandemic the Town Council is introducing more flexible arrangements for councillors, staff, and the general public. The office at the Twyn has been closed since March 2020 and rather than revert to the fixed part time office hours the council is introducing an appointment system Monday to Friday. You can contact the Town Clerk on the above telephone number or by email at:   caerphillytowncouncil@outlook.com

The Town Council  will introduce hybrid meetings from September 2021 enabling  both in person and remote access attendance at council meetings to comply with the requirements of the Local Government and Elections Act 2021. This will offer the convenience of being able to attend the council meetings from home, the office, or any other location with internet access. Alternatively you can still attend in person at the Twyn community centre. In person attendance will be subject to Covid 19 protocols until such time as all restrictions are lifted.

For remote attendance you will need to request the Town Clerk for the video link which is normally available from 5 days before the council meeting. You will need a suitable device such as smartphone or laptop and access to the internet.

Any queries about these arrangements, which should be fully operational from September 2021, can be addressed to the Town Clerk
