The Town Council at the meeting on 15 May 2023 awarded a grant of £400 to Aber Valley Wolves Rugby League Club to support the establishment of three new junior teams and to set up a Masters team; and a grant of £300 to support the Caerphilly Table Top and Gamers Society Library Event aimed at developing an interest in comic arts, Sci Fi, and tabletop gaming among children and families.
It has also been agreed to provide sponsorship of £400 to the Gwent Police Fun Day at Morgan Jones Park towards the cost of organising activities; and sponsorship of £400 for the Caerffili Pride event being organised by Caerphilly County Borough Council towards the cost of flags and bunting.
